Welcome Back - September 2020

This website is designed to give you as much information as possible about our school. Whether you are a parent/guardian looking for a school for your child, a prospective employee of the school or a potential sponsor, we hope that this information will be useful to you.

Please, if you are in the Seychelles, feel welcome to come and see us personally or email me at mhowell@visp-sey.com for the most up to date information about our school. We are a fairly new school with an exciting journey ahead.

Welcome back to all VISP students and parents. In particular, a very warm welcome to the many new families who are joining us this academic year. We hope that you enjoy your time at our school.

As was the case last term, this term we will be constrained by a number of policies designed to ensure the safety and welfare of students and staff at the school. With the Seychelles border now open, it is vital that the ongoing health of our community remains the top priority throughout this term. We will therefore continue to abide by the COVID-19 policies drawn up in May, a copy of which can be found via the button at the bottom of this page.

In spite of these restrictions, VISP continues to offer a well rounded, international curriculum, where children will make progress and succeed. Most recently, the school received out IGCSE and A-Level results for the May 2020 entry and they were outstanding with 72% of IGCSE's being awarded at C or better and 100% pass at A-Level. In particular, well done to Noah Labuschagne who scored 7 A*, 4 A and 1 B, a new unofficial national record at IGCSE level. In the A-Level cohort, well done to Alyssa Testa (3 A's) and Julius Bossy (2 A'S, 1 B) both of whom move on to their first choice destination for higher education.

We hope that throughout the course of this term we begin to return to 'normality' with hopefully more after school clubs, sports fixtures and drama. Until then our focus will be on progress in the classroom and the health and safety protocol laid out in the document below.
