Reopening post COVID-19

I am pleased to announce that VISP has been given approval from the Public Health Commissioner to reopen to all students on Monday 11th May. Staff resumed work a week prior to this and will have had a week to prepare for the arrival of students.

Parents have been emailed the policies now being implemented in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and a copy of this document can be downloaded by clicked the button below.

Most importantly we urge all parents to be cautious. If your child is unwell and especially if they have a continuous cough and high temperature please do not send them to school and please do notify the school.

Additionally note that although school begins at the same time as before (7.55am for Y7 and above and 8.05am for Y6 and below), parents are encouraged not to enter the school site. All staff, students and parents entering the school will have to do so via the sports centre toilets and the handwashing station in there.

The timings for the end of the school day have changed and parents should now wait in the car park for students to be dismissed. Reception 1 to Y2 will leave at 2pm, Y3 to Y6 at 2.15pm and Y7 and above at 2.30pm. There will be no facility for childcare after 2.30pm for the time being.

We appreciate the support of all parents in ensuring the school can be a safe environment for all in the coming weeks.
